UAE Schools to Introduce AI Curriculum Without Exams
The UAE Ministry of Education will roll out an Artificial Intelligence (AI) curriculum across public schools starting in the 2025–2026 academic year. This program is part of Group B subjects, which include Creative Design, Technology, Innovation, Visual Arts, Music Education, Entrepreneurship, Physical and Health Education, a Third Language, and Health Sciences.
No Examinations, Focus on Practical Learning
Instead of traditional written exams, the AI curriculum will emphasize practical projects. These projects aim to develop students’ skills in applying AI technologies safely, ethically, and responsibly. The approach encourages critical and creative thinking while promoting balanced digital practices.
Flexible Implementation
The curriculum will be delivered flexibly based on student age groups. Students in cycles one and two will attend AI sessions once every two weeks, while cycle three students will have weekly sessions. This schedule is designed to fit their learning needs and developmental stages.
Oversight and Quality Assurance
A specialized committee will oversee the AI curriculum’s implementation. Their role is to ensure teaching aligns with international standards and that students acquire practical AI skills for their academic and professional futures.
Advancing Education for the Future
This initiative reflects the Ministry’s commitment to adapting education to meet the demands of the Fourth Industrial Revolution. By equipping students with AI skills, the UAE aims to boost its global competitiveness and leadership in education and innovation.
1,000 Trained AI Teachers
The Ministry has trained 1,000 educators specifically to teach the AI curriculum. These teachers use interactive methods to engage students effectively and meet the curriculum’s objectives.
