UiPath Releases AI Agents for Retail and Manufacturing Operations
UiPath announced three purpose-built AI agent solutions designed to help retailers and manufacturers automate merchandising, pricing, and inventory management. The tools combine AI agents with business process automation to move organizations beyond experimentation into production systems that deliver measurable results.
Catherine Frame, director of retail solutions at UiPath, said retailers face pressure to operate efficiently while maintaining customer service. "Many organizations struggle to move from experimentation into full production that delivers measurable business outcomes," Frame said. "Our solutions are purpose-built for the most common use cases, taking advantage of agents and agentic business orchestration."
Merchandising Agent
The merchandising solution uses AI agents to optimize product assortments by analyzing historical sales data, demand signals, and inventory availability. The system identifies performance trends and delivers recommendations to maximize margin and inventory efficiency.
Built-in capabilities include price elasticity analysis to measure how price changes affect demand. A separate promotion and markdown planner uses forecasting to optimize campaign timing and pricing adjustments. A campaign agent automates the launch and management of promotions across digital and physical channels.
Commercial Pricing Solution
The commercial pricing tool brings AI agents into the quote-to-order process. It enables organizations to predict market shifts, decide optimal pricing strategies, and execute them autonomously by combining advanced AI models with enterprise automation.
The system helps teams move faster, improve win rates, and protect margins by turning pricing from a manual process into a real-time competitive advantage.
Inventory Management System
The inventory management solution provides visibility across warehouses, distribution centers, raw materials, and retail locations. AI agents and machine learning models analyze demand patterns and operational signals to predict stockouts and recommend inventory levels.
The system automates replenishment workflows and rebalances inventory across locations to improve turnover, minimize excess stock, and increase service levels.
