University of Phoenix Webinar Tackles AI Skills Gap and Workforce Access
University of Phoenix will host a webinar April 16 examining how organizations can align AI adoption with workforce readiness and employee development. The session, "AI for Everyone, or Only for the Few? Skills, Education, and Access in the Workplace," addresses a practical problem: as AI embeds itself into work processes, gaps in digital fluency and organizational readiness can either boost productivity or create new barriers.
The webinar runs at 11 a.m. MST and targets higher education leaders, employers, and university faculty and staff. It's part of the University of Phoenix Bridging Perspectives series, which brings together experts to discuss workplace trends and emerging technologies.
What the Discussion Will Cover
Veena Nayak, Vice President of Data Strategy and Solutions at University of Phoenix, will moderate a panel including Jennifer Mellor (Chief Innovation Officer at Greater Phoenix Chamber), Ariana Abramson (CEO of Nadis Intelligence), and Stephenie Gloden (Group Product Leader at Fidelity Investments).
The panelists will examine why some teams see productivity gains from AI while others face challenges. They'll also discuss how hiring models and job qualifications are shifting as organizations adopt AI tools.
Saray Lopez, Director of Strategic Initiatives at University of Phoenix, said the webinar helps "leaders think more intentionally about how AI adoption connects to skills development, education pathways and opportunity across the workforce."
Who Should Attend
The webinar is designed for leaders and practitioners working on workforce trends, AI for Education, talent strategy, and employee development. Those responsible for hiring practices and assessment methods in tech-enabled environments will find the discussion relevant.
