VerbaFlo raises $7m to build AI communications platform for real estate

VerbaFlo, an AI platform for property management and resident engagement, has raised $7m in seed funding led by Pi Labs. The round included participation from Haatch, Navigate Ventures, Old College Capital, and several family offices, bringing total funding to approximately $9m since the company's October 2024 launch.

The platform automates leasing, operations, and resident communications for real estate operators. It currently powers communication across over 200,000 units globally and adds roughly 30,000 units monthly.

How it works

VerbaFlo is built specifically for real estate, not a generic chatbot applied to property management. Operators deploy multiple AI agents trained for different functions: lead qualification, viewings, maintenance requests, finance inquiries, and resident engagement.

Each agent connects directly to existing systems. It can qualify leads, answer property questions, schedule viewings, handle follow-ups, process maintenance requests, and update records automatically. The platform centralizes conversations across email, web chat, WhatsApp, phone, and other channels.

The result, according to operators using the platform: faster response times, higher conversion rates, reduced manual work, and clearer oversight across portfolios.

Current reach and customers

VerbaFlo operates across the UK, Europe, and has recently expanded into the United States. The company is growing in the Middle East, Australia, and South Africa.

Its customers include Homes for Students, Moda Living, Fusion Students, Housing Hand, and Downing, along with over 40 other operators. The platform supports conversations in more than 180 languages.

What investors see

Faisal Butt, founder and managing partner at Pi Labs, said the platform delivers measurable operational impact. "The next wave of value creation in the built world will be driven by applied, vertical AI," he said.

Bay Downing, joint CEO at Downing, highlighted the cost problem VerbaFlo solves. "By automating lead generation and significantly lowering cost of acquisition for operators, they are solving one of the most persistent challenges in the industry," Downing said.

VerbaFlo founder Sayantan Biswas said the company will use the funding to expand in the United States and other markets, develop its product further, and grow its team globally.
