VergeSense Introduces Breakpoint Analyzer to Optimize Space Planning with AI Precision
San Francisco – VergeSense, a leader in occupancy intelligence, has launched the beta version of Breakpoint Analyzer, an AI-driven tool that helps real estate and workplace teams pinpoint inefficiencies in floor plans. This tool assists in reclaiming unused space and improving the utilization of existing footprints.
Breakpoint Analyzer is the first in a series of predictive space planning solutions from VergeSense, offering faster, clearer, and data-backed insights to support portfolio planning decisions.
How Breakpoint Analyzer Works
The tool uses a proprietary AI model trained on over 200 million square feet of occupancy data. It analyzes floor plans combined with real-time occupancy information—such as WiFi or sensor data—to:
- Determine true usable capacity based on actual employee behavior
- Identify which space types will reach capacity first, potentially affecting productivity and employee experience
- Highlight capacity losses caused by inefficient room sizes or poor space allocation
- Suggest layout modifications that can reveal hidden capacity
For spaces with limited sensor coverage, Breakpoint Analyzer employs VergeSense’s benchmark dataset to confidently simulate usage patterns, reducing guesswork and blind spots.
Benefits for Real Estate and Workplace Teams
Breakpoint Analyzer shifts space planning from static, assumption-based methods to dynamic, real-world analysis. Teams can:
- Make informed decisions even when occupancy data is incomplete
- Avoid costly overbuilding or under-provisioning of space
- Accelerate decision-making processes that traditionally take weeks or months
According to Dan Ryan, CEO of VergeSense, “Space planning has historically been slow, siloed, and assumption-driven. Breakpoint Analyzer offers a faster, smarter approach grounded in actual space performance rather than design assumptions.”
Looking Ahead: Predictive Workplace Planning
This release is the first step toward VergeSense’s broader vision for predictive workplace planning. Upcoming features will include scenario planning tools that allow teams to simulate the impact of policy changes, headcount growth, or layout adjustments before committing to costly changes.
Beta Availability and Next Steps
Breakpoint Analyzer is available in beta through August 31, 2025. Real estate and workplace professionals interested in learning more can sign up for the Occupancy Intelligence Summit taking place on June 11, 2025, at 12 PM ET.
