Visionstate and AMII Bring Practical AI to Facility Operations

Visionstate Corp. (TSXV: VIS) is advancing AI in facility management through a partnership with the Alberta Machine Intelligence Institute (AMII), helping bring its optimisation platform, TidyLogic, to market. Supported by PrairiesCan funding, AMII provided applied-science expertise that sped up development and sharpened the commercial focus. AMII publicly highlighted the project, noting the collaboration led to an enhanced product and two additional tools ready for market.

AMII's profile of the partnership is available here: AMII and Visionstate: Commercial Product Launches.

What managers need to know

  • Predictive scheduling replaces static plans, matching staffing to actual usage.
  • Data-backed labour estimates sharpen RFP responses and win rates.
  • Built-in documentation strengthens compliance efforts, including those tied to Ontario's Bill 190.
  • Real-time insights help cut over-servicing and reduce missed tasks without adding headcount.

How TidyLogic works

Developed with AMII's applied-science team, TidyLogic analyzes live and historical data to recommend the most efficient allocation of labour across sites and shifts. The platform moves beyond fixed schedules and gut feel, making resource plans that reflect what's actually happening on the ground.

According to AMII, the partnership delivered material product gains. And as Shannon Moore, President of Visionstate IoT Inc., noted: "Our collaboration with AMII has been transformational… Facility management is only the beginning-TidyLogic lays the foundation for intelligent operations across multiple industries."

Compliance and accountability, made simpler

Auditors and clients are asking for proof. TidyLogic helps by documenting workflows, service frequencies, and response times. Managers can justify staffing levels with data, standardize reporting, and respond faster to new requirements such as Ontario's Bill 190-without adding admin overhead.

Why the timing matters

Labour costs are rising. Compliance is tighter. Clients want transparency. Manual scheduling and paper logs can't keep pace. AI gives operators precision and speed so frontline teams spend time where it actually counts.

Visionstate's data advantage

Visionstate has more than a decade of operational data from its WANDA™ platform, spanning high-traffic environments like hospitals, airports, and shopping centres. That dataset, combined with AMII's guidance, gives TidyLogic a strong base for accurate predictions and repeatable outcomes.

Beyond facilities

The same AI engine can support logistics and warehousing, healthcare support services, property management, manufacturing workflows, and hospitality operations. Visionstate's AI division, Next Vision AI Inc., is set to explore these adjacent use cases.

Commercial model

TidyLogic is offered through a recurring model: SaaS subscriptions, enterprise licences, modular analytics, and professional AI services. For operators, that means you can start small, expand by site or feature, and tie spend to measurable outcomes.

Manager playbook: quick wins to act on now

  • Run a baseline: compare scheduled hours vs. actual demand by zone and time of day.
  • Pilot TidyLogic at one high-variance site; track SLA adherence, rework rates, and overtime.
  • Standardize data capture (traffic counts, work orders, incident types) to improve model accuracy.
  • Update RFP templates to include data-backed labour estimates and service frequency logic.
  • Build a weekly compliance report showing staffing justification and task completion by risk area.
  • Upskill supervisors on AI-assisted planning and exception handling. If you need a quick primer, explore curated AI courses by job.
