Worley and Bloomfire Deploy AI Knowledge Platform for Energy Operations
Worley Consulting and Bloomfire have partnered to integrate an AI-powered knowledge platform into Worley's service offerings for energy, chemicals, and resources companies. The system addresses a core operational problem: organizations have abundant data but struggle to access and apply the specific knowledge they need to make decisions quickly.
The platform organizes company information around how industrial assets actually operate, rather than storing it in traditional data repositories. This structure lets operators find relevant information faster and apply internal expertise across project lifecycles-from initial development through ongoing operations.
Fabricio Sousa, president of Worley Consulting, said the integration targets knowledge fragmentation and loss in asset-intensive industries. "Industrial companies don't lack data - they lack trusted, usable knowledge that can be used when making decisions," he said.
Barry Walker, senior vice president of AI and machine learning at Worley Consulting, emphasized the platform's role in preserving institutional knowledge. "When customers see knowledge structured around how industrial assets operate, their immediate reaction is that they need it," Walker said. The system supports consistent decision-making across asset lifecycles and helps prevent knowledge loss when staff leave.
Philip Brittan, CEO of Bloomfire, said the partnership extends the company's reach into industrial sectors through Worley's global presence. Both organizations will focus on improving knowledge governance and supporting AI use in operational and project environments.
For operations professionals, the partnership signals growing adoption of AI systems designed to improve how teams access and use internal expertise. Learn more about AI for Operations or explore an AI Learning Path for Operations Managers.
