Zone & Co Acquires Sudozi to Expand Finance Platform Into Procurement

Zone & Co has acquired Sudozi, an AI-powered procurement and vendor management platform, to extend its financial operations software upstream into earlier spending decisions. The move reflects a shift in how enterprise finance teams operate: moving from systems that record transactions after they happen to platforms that influence decisions in real time.

Sudozi centralizes purchase requests, vendor onboarding, approvals, and renewals. Its AI flags duplicate vendors, surfaces compliance issues, and identifies spending patterns before invoices are generated. This gives finance teams visibility and control earlier in the spending cycle rather than forcing them to react after money has been committed.

With Sudozi integrated, Zone now covers the full procure-to-pay workflow within a single platform. The combined offering uses Zoe, Zone's orchestration layer, and the Zone Control Center to monitor and manage financial workflows in real time.

What Changes for Finance Teams

Finance teams typically enter the process too late. They see spending requests after decisions have been made and budgets committed. Sudozi's approach moves finance into the decision-making stage by centralizing intake and approvals before purchase orders are issued.

Thomas Kim, CEO of Zone & Co, said: "Finance shouldn't start at the invoice; it should start at the decision. Most systems today are still built as systems of record. By integrating Sudozi's intake intelligence with Zone's execution engine and Zoe, our agentic orchestration layer, we're continuing to build something fundamentally different: a system of agency."

Rose Punkunus, founder and CEO of Sudozi, said the acquisition allows the platform to connect procurement intelligence directly into the ERP's operational flow. "Finance teams have outgrown the tools they've been given. They're expected to guide the business, but are often brought in too late."

Real-World Impact

Liat Halamish, information systems engineer at ERGO Next, a Sudozi customer, said the platform gave her team the ability to approve spending before it happens and track budgets in real time. Sudozi will continue supporting its existing customers while leveraging Zone's infrastructure to accelerate product development.
