Insurance Tech: Zywave Releases Suite of Specialized AI Agents
December 17, 2025
Zywave just introduced an agentic AI strategy with what it calls the industry's first suite of insurance-specialized AI agents. The goal is simple: shrink the time it takes to find, qualify, and win business, while lifting producer output with connected, always-on workflows.
What Zywave announced
The first release targets prospecting and client acquisition-the grind that slows down pipelines. These agents plug into your Management System, analyze your book, and move from "describe-and-done" prompts to execution across data enrichment, lead sourcing, research, and outreach.
- Prospect Identification Agent: Connects to your Management System, fills gaps in customer and policy data (websites, NAICS/SIC, company size, revenue), and recommends best-fit prospects by producer to shape realistic Ideal Customer Profiles. For NAICS reference, see the U.S. Census NAICS directory.
- Lead Sourcing & Scoring Agent: Pulls top prospects with verified contacts from the miEdge database, then ranks them with buying intent signals like upcoming renewals and broker switches.
- Research & Enrichment Agent: Gathers household and company context, surfaces likely current coverages, and crafts personalized messages using real-time news and insights.
- Outreach & Optimization Agent: Generates one-to-one email outreach, launches pre-built campaign sequences from Zywave's content library, tracks engagement, and recommends next-step adjustments.
Availability and what's next
The suite is live with select early customers now and slated for general availability in Q1 2026. Zywave plans additional agents throughout 2026 focused on new business and renewal quoting automation, benchmarking-driven policy and coverage design, and deeper analytics.
- Connect to an agency's book to spot risk exposures with benchmarking analytics.
- Recommend coverage and proactively quote via 1,000+ real-time carrier APIs.
- Run coverage-gap analysis and contract comparisons to strengthen proposals.
Why it matters for insurance teams
- Producers: Spend less time hunting and more time closing. Get ICP-driven lists, personalized outreach, and clear intent signals.
- Agencies/Brokerages: Standardize prospecting across teams, reduce data cleanup work, and keep sequences running after hours.
- Carriers: Improve distribution intelligence, align producer activity with appetite, and surface quote-ready opportunities earlier.
What gives Zywave an edge
Zywave's agents are wired into proprietary insurance data and content: a library of 120,000+ topics and detailed coverage/exposure data on tens of millions of households and companies. That context feeds each step-from identifying ICPs to crafting outreach and preparing quotes.
"By drawing on our industry-recognized, proprietary data and content, our new AI agents streamline what used to be fragmented, manual tasks and turn them into connected, AI-powered workflows," said Martin Simoncic, CEO, Zywave. "This unlocks new levels of productivity and gives producers, brokers, and carriers a competitive edge in this market."
How to pilot in your organization
- Clean your data first: Confirm core fields (industry codes, revenue, headcount, renewal dates, contact roles) are accurate.
- Define your ICPs: Lock in industry, size, geography, and trigger events. Keep it simple and testable.
- Set success metrics: Track sourced opportunities, meetings booked, cost per meeting, and cycle time to proposal.
- Align compliance early: Review outreach rules, data usage, and consent. Document workflows and opt-out handling.
- Integrate workflows: Connect to your Management System and CRM so activities and outcomes sync automatically.
- Upskill the team: If you're building producer AI skills, see role-based options at Complete AI Training.
