AI agent for voice actors

Audiobook Pronunciation Prep Agent

A complete pronunciation and character guide before recording starts

Audiobook Pronunciation Prep Agent: what goes in, what the agent does and what you get

What it does

An audiobook can have hundreds of names, foreign words and characters, and stopping mid-session to look them up wastes studio time. Before recording, this agent reads the manuscript and lists every unusual word, name and place, with chapter references. It looks up pronunciations in reliable sources and marks uncertain ones as questions for the author. Names the author invented always go to the author. It also builds a character list with age, accent and voice notes taken from the text. The narrator approves the questions before they are sent. As answers come back, it updates the guide and checks that nothing is left open. Open items get a follow-up after approval. Finally it checks the guide covers every chapter. Edge case: a name two characters pronounce differently on purpose is kept as two entries with notes.

How it works

Follow the arrows from top to bottom. The orange dashed arrow is the loop: when a check fails, the agent goes back and tries again.

An example run

What happensA fantasy novel received on March 1 had 146 names. The agent confirmed 98 from sources and sent 48 to the author after the narrator approved the list. It built 31 character notes. A week later the open-item check failed with 5 answers missing. The narrator approved a follow-up, and the author answered all 5 two days before recording started.
