Audition Prep Rehearsal Scheduler Agent

A daily prep schedule where each audition has enough time before its deadline

Audition Prep Rehearsal Scheduler Agent: what goes in, what the agent does and what you get

What it does

Prep time is split poorly, and callbacks arrive with half-learned sides. This agent reads the audition list and deadlines and estimates the prep time each one needs from page count and difficulty, such as dialect or memorization. It builds a daily schedule that fits around the actor's calendar and checks it against work, travel and rest. It marks the tasks of each day: read, break down, memorize, record. When a new audition arrives or one is canceled, it rebuilds the schedule and checks that no deadline is missed. If it cannot fit everything, it proposes which audition gets less time or asks to move a deadline. The actor approves the schedule. Edge case: a self-tape due within 24 hours gets priority over a later live audition.

How it works

Follow the arrows from top to bottom. The orange dashed arrow is the loop: when a check fails, the agent goes back and tries again.

How it decides

Prep time is estimated from pages, memorization and skills such as accents. Earlier deadlines are scheduled first, with a rest day kept free.

  • Estimate 1 hour per 2 pages plus time for memorizing
  • Add 30 minutes for a new accent or skill
  • Keep one rest day each week
  • Schedule the earliest deadline first

Make it yours

Every agent is a starting point. You choose these settings for your own situation.

  • Prep time estimate rule
  • Rest day
  • Working hours per day
  • Calendar to use

What keeps you in control

It always asks you first

  • The schedule
  • Asking to move a deadline

Hard limits

  • Never contacts casting
  • Never schedules more than 8 hours in a day

It stops when

  • Done: schedule approved with all deadlines fitting
  • Stop: a deadline cannot be met and the actor decides

An example run

What happensThree auditions arrived: a 6-page scene due Friday, a 2-page commercial due Thursday and a 10-page callback on Monday. The first plan left only 40 minutes for the Monday callback before a shift, so the check failed. The agent moved 2 hours from Sunday to Saturday and dropped the rest day to Sunday morning. All fit, and the actor approved.
