AI agent for board members
Audit Committee Finding Tracker Agent
Drive every audit finding to a closure that is backed by evidence.
What it does
Audit findings come with a promised fix and a date. Dates move, owners change, and the same finding appears again a year later. This agent lists all open findings with promised dates and owners, asks owners for evidence before each date, and checks that the evidence really resolves the finding. It flags overdue items and weak responses and drafts a question for the committee. Each cycle it rechecks and tracks how many dates have moved more than once. The board member approves any escalation. Edge case: a finding closed with evidence that covers only one site of three is marked partially closed.
How it works
Follow the arrows from top to bottom. The orange dashed arrow is the loop: when a check fails, the agent goes back and tries again.
Read the steps as a list
- Monthly findings review begins
- Read the findings register
- List findings due in the next 30 days and those overdue
- Send evidence requests to owners
- Read the evidence received
- Does the evidence cover the full scope of the finding? If not: Mark as partially closed and ask for the missing part. Back to step 5.
- Flag findings overdue or moved more than once
- Draft a question for the committee for each weak item
- Board member approves any escalationThe agent waits here for your OK.
- Is anything still open past its new date?If not: Add it to the next escalation list. Back to step 3.
- Findings status report
How it decides
Checks each piece of evidence against the finding's criteria; a finding is closed only if the evidence covers the whole scope.
- Evidence must match the finding's full scope
- A date moved twice means escalation
- Overdue by 30 days goes to the committee
- Closed findings are sampled again after 6 months
