AI agent for authors

Author Event and Review Outreach Agent

A tracked, personalized outreach campaign where every send is approved and every follow-up is scheduled

Author Event and Review Outreach Agent: what goes in, what the agent does and what you get

What it does

Review and event outreach is often a rush before launch, then forgotten. This agent builds a target list of reviewers, podcasts, bookstores and events that match the book. It drafts a tailored pitch for each, tracks sends, replies and follow-up dates, and drops targets after a set number of unanswered tries. After replies, it updates the calendar and drafts thank-you notes. It checks that no one is contacted twice by mistake. The author approves every message before it goes out. Edge case: a reviewer's site says they do not accept self-published books, so the agent removes the target and notes why.

How it works

Follow the arrows from top to bottom. The orange dashed arrow is the loop: when a check fails, the agent goes back and tries again.

How it decides

A target is pitched only if its guidelines accept the book and it has not been contacted recently. A target drops after the follow-up limit.

  • Pitch only targets whose guidelines fit
  • Follow up once after 10 days
  • Drop after 2 unanswered messages
  • Never contact a target twice within 30 days

An example run

What happensThe agent listed 60 reviewers and found 9 that did not accept self-published books, so the guidelines check failed for those and it removed them. It drafted 51 pitches. The author approved 44 and edited 7. After 10 days 18 had replied and 12 had not, so it drafted follow-ups. After two unanswered messages it dropped 9 targets and booked 3 events.
