AI agent for copywriters
Brand Voice Guide Builder Agent
A tested voice guide that approved copy passes and that turns off-brand drafts on-brand
What it does
When a client says their copy does not sound like them, the copywriter has to work out what their voice is from scattered examples. This agent gathers approved copy samples from the website, emails and ads, and the client's notes on what they dislike. It pulls out patterns such as sentence length, use of first person, humor, banned words and how claims are phrased. It drafts voice rules with do and do not examples. Then it tests the rules: it rewrites a few off-brand samples using only the rules and checks whether the client's past approved copy passes them. If approved copy fails a rule, the rule is too strict and gets loosened. The copywriter edits and the client approves the guide. Edge case: legal copy is written differently on purpose, so it is kept out of the sample set.
How it works
Follow the arrows from top to bottom. The orange dashed arrow is the loop: when a check fails, the agent goes back and tries again.
Read the steps as a list
- New client or rebrand
- Collect approved samples and rejected copy
- Remove legal and technical copy from the sample set
- Extract patterns in tone, length, words and structure
- Draft voice rules with do and do not examples
- Does approved copy pass the rules? If not: loosen or split the rules that approved copy fails. Back to step 5.
- Rewrite three off-brand samples using only the rules
- Do the rewrites read as on-brand against the approved set?If not: find which pattern the rewrites miss and add a rule for it. Back to step 4.
- Client approves the voice guideThe agent waits here for your OK.
- Voice guide with examples per channel
How it decides
A pattern becomes a rule when it appears in most approved samples and rarely in rejected ones. A rule is loosened when approved copy fails it.
- A pattern becomes a rule when it appears in at least 70% of approved samples
- Drop a rule if more than 10% of approved samples fail it
- Need at least 20 approved samples; below that, ask for more
- Keep channel exceptions separate, such as shorter sentences for ads
Make it yours
Every agent is a starting point. You choose these settings for your own situation.

It stops when
- Done: approved copy passes and rewrites read on-brand
