Campaign Effectiveness Readout Agent

A reliable readout of campaign impact

Campaign Effectiveness Readout Agent: what goes in, what the agent does and what you get

What it does

Stakeholders want a clear answer on whether a campaign worked, and a quick comparison can easily mislead. This agent pulls pre and post campaign survey data, sales and media data, and compares exposed and unexposed groups. It checks whether the groups are comparable and whether differences are statistically significant. If the groups differ in makeup, such as more young people among the exposed, it weights them and runs the comparison again. If results are still not significant, it says so plainly and notes the limits. It then writes a readout with lift estimates, confidence ranges and caveats. You approve the readout before it is shared. Edge case: a sales lift that also appears in regions with no campaign is flagged as a possible market effect rather than credited to the campaign.

How it works

Follow the arrows from top to bottom. The orange dashed arrow is the loop: when a check fails, the agent goes back and tries again.

An example run

What happensAfter a spring TV campaign for a regional bank, the post wave of 1,600 interviews closed on May 20. The agent compared 820 exposed with 780 unexposed people. Its check found the exposed group was 38% under 35 against 22% in the unexposed group. It went back, weighted both groups to the same age and region mix, and reran. Consideration rose 6 points, significant at 95%. The analyst approved the readout.
