AI agent for occupational therapists
Caregiver Training Completion Agent
The caregiver can safely perform every needed skill before the patient goes home.
What it does
Many patients go home with a caregiver who has never practiced a transfer, a dressing or a safe lift. From the day a discharge date is set, the agent lists the skills the caregiver needs from the care plan, schedules training sessions before discharge and records each skill's competence. After each session the therapist records whether the caregiver could demonstrate the skill. If not, the agent adds a practice session and checks again before discharge. It flags any skill still not safe close to the date and tells the therapist and the discharge team. The therapist approves the plan, sessions and the final competence record. Edge case: a caregiver with a physical limit, such as back pain, is offered an alternative method or equipment.
How it works
Follow the arrows from top to bottom. The orange dashed arrow is the loop: when a check fails, the agent goes back and tries again.
