Risk Flag Escalation Agent

Warning signs are caught early, escalated to the professional and followed to a response.

Risk Flag Escalation Agent: what goes in, what the agent does and what you get

What it does

Clients say things in check-ins that matter, such as skipping meals, pain during exercise or feeling hopeless, and busy professionals can miss them. The agent reads each check-in against a set of risk signals the professional chose, scores them, and tracks trends over time. When signals rise, it drafts a calm message to the client and a referral suggestion for the professional, such as a physician, a therapist or a physiotherapist. It tracks the response, and at the next check-in compares the signals again. The professional decides everything: the agent never contacts a client alone. Edge case: any mention of self-harm is sent to the professional at once with the crisis steps from their protocol, not left for the weekly review.

How it works

Follow the arrows from top to bottom. The orange dashed arrow is the loop: when a check fails, the agent goes back and tries again.

How it decides

It scores signals against the list and escalates by score and trend, with urgent signals going straight to the professional.

  • Self-harm mentions go to the professional at once
  • Score above 6 of 10 or a rise of 3 points needs a draft
  • Two high check-ins in a row escalate
  • The professional makes every decision

An example run

What happensA client's check-in mentions skipping lunch for a week and fear of eating in public. The agent scores 7 and finds the score rose from 3 two weeks ago. It drafts a caring message and suggests a referral to an eating disorder specialist. The professional edits and sends. At the next check-in the score is 8, so the agent flags the case for a phone call.
