AI agent for logistics coordinators

Carrier Performance Scorecard Agent

A fair monthly carrier scorecard that guides lane awards and reviews

Carrier Performance Scorecard Agent: what goes in, what the agent does and what you get

What it does

Carriers differ a lot in on-time pickup and delivery, damage rates and how fast they answer claims, but the data sits in tracking portals, emails and claim files. At month end this agent pulls shipment milestones, delivery exceptions, damage claims and invoice disputes. It removes delays caused by the shipper, such as late loading, so carriers are scored fairly. It then checks that every shipment has pickup and delivery proof. If proof is missing, it asks the carrier or coordinator for it and reloads. It scores carriers by lane, not just overall, on on-time pickup, on-time delivery, damage rate and claim response, and ranks them. Carriers below target two months running get drafted review points. The logistics manager approves any message to carriers and any routing guide change. Edge case: a lane with fewer than ten loads is shown but not ranked.

How it works

Follow the arrows from top to bottom. The orange dashed arrow is the loop: when a check fails, the agent goes back and tries again.

How it decides

It scores on-time pickup, on-time delivery, damage rate and claim response by lane, excluding shipper-caused delays, and flags carriers below target two months running.

  • Shipper-caused delays are excluded
  • Two months below target triggers a review
  • Scores are by lane, not just overall

Make it yours

Every agent is a starting point. You choose these settings for your own situation.

  • On-time targets by lane
  • Scoring weights
  • Carriers and lanes included
  • Review trigger (default 2 months)

What keeps you in control

It always asks you first

  • Carrier review messages
  • Routing guide changes

Hard limits

  • Never changes carrier allocations itself
  • Never disputes invoices

It stops when

  • Done: scorecards approved
  • Stop: more than 10 percent of shipments lack proof, report data quality first

An example run

What happensFor September, the agent pulled 2,860 shipments and removed 41 shipper-caused delays. The proof check failed for 63 shipments with no delivery scan, so it requested proof from four carriers and reloaded. One carrier scored 82 percent on time on the Dallas to Memphis lane, below the 95 percent target for a second month. The manager approved a review call and a routing guide change.
