AI agent for law students

Case Law Flashcard and Spaced Review Agent

Have the student recall the key rules at exam level in each topic by exam day.

Case Law Flashcard and Spaced Review Agent: what goes in, what the agent does and what you get

What it does

A law student reads hundreds of cases and by exam time half the rules are gone. Making flashcards takes as long as studying. This agent builds flashcards from the student's own outline, covering rules, elements, case holdings and exceptions. It quizzes the student, records which cards are missed and groups the misses by topic. It schedules reviews with longer gaps for cards the student knows and shorter ones for the missed. After each session it shifts study time toward the weak topics. The student approves the weekly plan. Edge case: a card missed three times in a row is rewritten as a smaller question or linked to a hypothetical.

How it works

Follow the arrows from top to bottom. The orange dashed arrow is the loop: when a check fails, the agent goes back and tries again.

  • Card missed 3 times is rewritten
  • Correct card gap doubles each time, missed card resets to 1 day
  • Study time is weighted to lowest recall topics

An example run

What happensA student studies contracts. After a week, consideration scores 92% but promissory estoppel 55%. The topic check fails, so the agent shortens the review gap and adds two practice questions. One card on reliance is missed three times, so the agent rewrites it into two smaller cards. By week 3 estoppel recall is 81%. The student approves more time for it.
