AI agent for tax advisors
Charitable Giving Strategy Agent
Choose the giving method with the best tax result and confirm it before year end
What it does
A client gives $20,000 a year in cash while holding stock with $150,000 of gains. This agent reads the client's giving pattern, appreciated positions and tax situation. It models options such as gifting appreciated stock, donor-advised funds, bunching gifts into one year and qualified distributions from an IRA. It checks each against deduction limits, the standard deduction and any age rules. It compares the after-tax cost of each option and selects those that fit the client's goals. It rechecks before year end with updated income and market values and adjusts the proposal. The advisor approves the proposal before the client sees it. Edge case: if the client takes the standard deduction anyway, it tests bunching two years of gifts.
How it works
Follow the arrows from top to bottom. The orange dashed arrow is the loop: when a check fails, the agent goes back and tries again.
