AI agent for farmers
Grain Contract Delivery Tracking Agent
Every contract is delivered inside its window and every settlement matches its terms
What it does
Forward contracts carry volume, delivery windows and quality terms, and missing any of them costs money. This agent lists every contract with its terms and compares them with bin stock and the harvest estimate. It warns of shortfalls early and proposes options, such as moving grain between bins, delivering part of a contract, or asking the buyer for an extension. After each delivery it checks the settlement sheet against the contract for weight, grade, price and discounts and queries any difference. The farmer approves deliveries and any dispute. Edge case: the settlement shows a moisture discount that is higher than the contract table, so the agent drafts a correction request with the clause quoted.
How it works
Follow the arrows from top to bottom. The orange dashed arrow is the loop: when a check fails, the agent goes back and tries again.
Read the steps as a list
- Weekly review or a delivery settlement arrives
- Read contract terms and delivery windows
- Compare with bin stock and harvest estimate
- Is there enough grain for each contract and window? If not: model options such as bin transfers, partial delivery or an extension request, then recheck stock. Back to step 2.
- Plan delivery dates against the windows
- Farmer approves deliveries and any extension requestThe agent waits here for your OK.
- Read the settlement sheet after delivery
- Does the settlement match weight, grade, price and discounts? If not: draft a correction request with the contract clause and recheck the reply. Back to step 7.
- Update the contract balance
- Contract record updated
How it decides
A shortfall is flagged when stock and estimate together fall below the contract volume plus a small margin. A settlement is accepted only when each line matches contract terms.
- Warn when expected supply is under 105 percent of contract volume
- Flag any discount that is not in the contract table
- Warn 14 days before a window closes
- Never treat a contract as closed until the settlement is checked
