AI agent for musicians

Instrument and Gear Maintenance Agent

Gear serviced on time so nothing fails on stage

Instrument and Gear Maintenance Agent: what goes in, what the agent does and what you get

What it does

Dead strings, a dying battery or a cracked cable can ruin a gig, and maintenance is easy to forget. This agent keeps a list of the musician's gear with service intervals: string changes, setups, tube checks, battery swaps, cable checks and insurance. It counts hours played from gigs and rehearsals in the calendar. When an item is due, it adds a task and drafts a shopping list or repair booking. After the task it asks the musician to confirm it was done. If it is not done before the next gig, it raises it again. It also tracks gear spending and insurance values. The musician approves purchases and repair bookings. Edge case: a humid touring season shortens the setup interval for wooden instruments.

How it works

Follow the arrows from top to bottom. The orange dashed arrow is the loop: when a check fails, the agent goes back and tries again.

An example run

What happensBefore a three-show weekend starting Friday, July 11, the agent found the bass strings at 26 hours against a 20-hour interval and pedalboard batteries at 8 months. The musician approved the shopping list and changed strings but skipped the batteries. Before the second show the done check failed, so the agent raised it again, and the musician swapped them.
