AI agent for speechwriters

Interpreter and Translation Prep Agent

A speech and briefing pack that an interpreter can deliver with the right meaning.

Interpreter and Translation Prep Agent: what goes in, what the agent does and what you get

What it does

An executive says 'we hit it out of the park' and the interpreter gives a literal translation that confuses the room. This agent prepares your speech for interpretation. It flags idioms, jokes, acronyms and very long sentences, proposes simpler alternatives, and builds a glossary of key terms and names with pronunciation. It assembles a briefing pack for the interpreter. For key lines, it runs a back-translation check, translating into the target language and then back to see if the meaning shifts. If meaning shifts, it revises the line and tests again. You approve the final pack before it goes to the interpreter. Edge case: a pun is replaced with a plain line rather than forced into translation.

How it works

Follow the arrows from top to bottom. The orange dashed arrow is the loop: when a check fails, the agent goes back and tries again.

How it decides

It marks any phrase as risky if its meaning depends on culture or word play, and revises when the back-translation differs from the intended meaning.

  • Flag any sentence over 30 words
  • Replace puns and sports idioms with plain language
  • Define every acronym on first use
  • Test back-translation for all key messages

Make it yours

Every agent is a starting point. You choose these settings for your own situation.

  • Target languages
  • Sentence length limit (default 30 words)
  • Glossary format
  • Which lines get back-translation

What keeps you in control

It always asks you first

  • Speechwriter approves the final pack before sending

Hard limits

  • Never replace the interpreter's judgment
  • Never send the pack without approval

It stops when

  • Done: pack approved
  • Stop: target language not supported for checks

An example run

What happensThe agent flagged 14 items in a 2,300 word speech, including 'move the needle' and a long 41 word sentence. Back-translation of 'raise the bar' into Spanish and back said 'lift the pole'. It replaced it with 'set a higher standard' and it passed. It built a glossary of 22 terms and the speechwriter approved the pack.
