Interview Prep Story Bank Agent

A practiced answer backed by a real story for every likely interview question

Interview Prep Story Bank Agent: what goes in, what the agent does and what you get

What it does

Interviews ask for examples that prove the skills in the posting, and nervous candidates ramble or forget results. When an interview is scheduled, this agent researches the company and role from public sources only and predicts likely questions from the posting. It builds or updates a story bank of the person's real experiences in situation, task, action and result form, and maps each question to a story. It runs a mock interview, asking the questions and scoring each answer for structure, length and evidence, aiming for 90 to 120 seconds. If an answer has no clear result or runs past 2 minutes, it reworks the story and practices that question again. The person or coach decides when they are ready. Edge case: if no story exists for a key skill, it helps find one from volunteer or school work instead of making one up.

How it works

Follow the arrows from top to bottom. The orange dashed arrow is the loop: when a check fails, the agent goes back and tries again.

How it decides

Each likely question needs a matching story. An answer passes mock scoring when it has a clear result and fits 2 minutes.

  • Stories must be real and from the person's history
  • Answers aim for 90 to 120 seconds
  • Company research uses only public information

Make it yours

Every agent is a starting point. You choose these settings for your own situation.

  • Number of practice questions (default 8 to 10)
  • Answer length target (default 2 minutes)
  • Interview type (phone, panel, case)
  • Feedback style (gentle or direct)

What keeps you in control

It always asks you first

  • Person confirms each story is accurate

Hard limits

  • Does not contact the employer

It stops when

An example run

What happensFor a customer success role, the agent predicted 9 questions. In the mock, the answer to 'tell me about an unhappy customer' ran 3.5 minutes with no outcome, so the check failed. The person added that the client renewed for $40,000 and cut the setup details. The second try ran 1 minute 50 seconds and passed. The coach confirmed readiness the evening before the Oct 21 interview.
