Litigation Chronology Source Agent

A litigation chronology where every entry is source-linked.

Litigation Chronology Source Agent: what goes in, what the agent does and what you get

What it does

Litigation timelines often include events with no exact source, which weakens the case. When new evidence arrives, this agent traces each event in the chronology to a specific document and passage. If an event has no exact source, it searches the evidence set to resolve the date or attribution. If nothing is found, it marks the event as unverified rather than deleting or guessing. Contradictory sources are kept as separate entries. It updates the attributed chronology for the litigation team. It never judges credibility or draws legal conclusions. Edge case: two witnesses give different dates for a meeting, so both dates appear as separate entries with their sources.

How it works

Follow the arrows from top to bottom. The orange dashed arrow is the loop: when a check fails, the agent goes back and tries again.

An example run

What happensAfter a document production on March 30, the chronology had 140 events. The agent found 18 without an exact source, so the check failed for those. It searched the new production and resolved 11 with emails and minutes. Seven stayed unverified. Two meeting dates conflicted and were kept as separate entries. The litigation team reviewed the updated chronology on April 2.
