AI agent for farmers

Livestock Treatment and Withdrawal Agent

Complete treatment records and no animal sold or milked inside withdrawal

Livestock Treatment and Withdrawal Agent: what goes in, what the agent does and what you get

What it does

Every treatment of an animal must be recorded with the product, dose and withdrawal period for meat or milk, and one mistake can mean a rejected milk tank or a failed sale. Whenever a treatment is entered or a sale is planned, this agent reads treatments and product withdrawal times. An animal stays blocked until the longest withdrawal of any product it received has passed. Off-label use prescribed by a vet uses the longer statutory withdrawal. It updates the withdrawal list, then compares it with sale lists and milking groups. If a treated animal is on a sale list or in the milking group, it flags it and drafts a change. It also spots animals treated three times in 60 days and suggests a vet visit. The farmer approves list changes and calls the vet. Edge case: a treatment entered without a product batch is held for completion.

How it works

Follow the arrows from top to bottom. The orange dashed arrow is the loop: when a check fails, the agent goes back and tries again.

An example run

What happensOn April 22 the agent flagged a cow treated for mastitis 3 days earlier that was still in the milking group, and drafted a move to the treated group. The sale check then failed for two steers on next week's list, still 4 days inside withdrawal. It drafted moving them to the following sale on May 6. The farmer approved both changes that morning.
