Offer Comparison and Negotiation Prep Agent

A clear comparison of offers and a data-backed negotiation plan

Offer Comparison and Negotiation Prep Agent: what goes in, what the agent does and what you get

What it does

A job offer bundles base pay, bonus, equity, benefits, time off and other terms that are hard to compare. This agent reads the offer terms and gathers salary data for the role, level and city from at least two public sources. It calculates the total value of each offer the person has, including the current job, and weights non-cash terms by the person's priorities. It drafts a target, a walk-away point and reasons to support the ask. It checks the target against the market range. If the target is far outside it, it shows the gap and asks the person to adjust or add a stronger reason. It then drafts the negotiation email or call notes. The person decides and sends. Edge case: equity in a private company is shown as a low, middle and zero value rather than one number.

How it works

Follow the arrows from top to bottom. The orange dashed arrow is the loop: when a check fails, the agent goes back and tries again.

An example run

What happensAn offer was $78,000 base with 15 days off. Data for the role in Denver ranged $74,000 to $92,000. The person wanted $100,000, so the range check failed and the agent showed the gap. The person lowered the target to $88,000 and added a request for 5 more days off. The agent drafted the email, and the person approved and sent it on Jun 4.
