Podcast Sponsor Ad Placement Audit Agent

A verified report of what each sponsor was owed and what actually ran, with gaps fixed or flagged

Podcast Sponsor Ad Placement Audit Agent: what goes in, what the agent does and what you get

What it does

A sponsor paid for three mid-roll reads in March episodes, and the podcaster is not sure all three ran or whether an old campaign is still playing in old episodes. This agent reads the sponsor contracts for the required number of reads, slot positions, scripts, start and end dates and any exclusivity. It then checks each published episode, using the transcript and the ad marker times, for ad slots, the read text and the dates. It flags mismatches such as a missing read, a pre-roll instead of a mid-roll, a read that left out the promo code, or an ad still running after the contract end date. After the podcaster fixes episodes or arranges make-goods, it rechecks them. The podcaster approves the report to the sponsor. Edge case: a read spoken in a different order but with every required line is counted as compliant.

How it works

Follow the arrows from top to bottom. The orange dashed arrow is the loop: when a check fails, the agent goes back and tries again.

How it decides

It counts a read as delivered when the required position, key lines and code appear in the transcript within the contract dates. Anything else is a mismatch.

  • Count a read only if the key lines and promo code appear
  • Flag any ad running after the contract end date
  • Treat a position change as a mismatch unless the contract allows it
  • Offer a make-good only for missed reads

Make it yours

Every agent is a starting point. You choose these settings for your own situation.

  • Contract terms and ad scripts
  • Allowed slot positions
  • Report period
  • Sponsor contact details
  • Make-good rules

What keeps you in control

It always asks you first

  • Podcaster approves each fix and the report sent to the sponsor

Hard limits

  • Never publish or edit episodes itself
  • Never send a report to a sponsor without approval

It stops when

  • Done: All required reads are verified or have an approved fix
  • Stop: The contract is unclear on a requirement, so the agent asks the podcaster to confirm

An example run

What happensA contract requires 3 mid-roll reads of 30 seconds with code SAVE20 from March 1 to 31. The agent finds reads in episodes 41 and 43, but episode 42 has the read as a pre-roll without the code. It also finds the old campaign still in episode 38. The podcaster approves an edit for episode 42 and a replacement for 38. The recheck passes.
