Content Calendar Slip Recovery Agent

A revised content calendar that keeps fixed dates and has no new conflicts

Content Calendar Slip Recovery Agent: what goes in, what the agent does and what you get

What it does

One late piece of content pushes everything else, and the calendar stops matching reality. This agent checks each item's status against its due date and finds slips. It lists the options for dealing with them, such as moving a piece a week, swapping two pieces or merging two. Each option is tested against fixed events and sponsor dates, and against dependencies such as promo assets that need the main piece first. It chooses the option with the least impact. Then it re-checks the whole calendar for new conflicts. The owner approves the revised calendar before anything is rescheduled in live tools. Edge case: a sponsor deadline cannot move, so the agent shifts an internal piece instead and notes the knock-on effect.

How it works

Follow the arrows from top to bottom. The orange dashed arrow is the loop: when a check fails, the agent goes back and tries again.

How it decides

It prefers the option that moves the fewest pieces, never moves fixed events and keeps dependencies in order.

  • Never move a sponsor or event date
  • Move the lowest-priority piece first
  • Keep a promo asset after its main piece
  • Warn when more than 3 pieces move

Make it yours

Every agent is a starting point. You choose these settings for your own situation.

  • Which dates are fixed
  • How many moved pieces trigger a warning (default 3)
  • Calendar and tool to use
  • How early to check for slips

What keeps you in control

It always asks you first

  • Applying the revised calendar in live tools
  • Moving any sponsored piece

Hard limits

  • Never reschedules live posts without approval
  • Never moves fixed dates

It stops when

  • Done: calendar updated and approved
  • Stop: no option keeps the fixed dates

An example run

What happensA video script due Tuesday slipped to Friday. The first option moved the video one week, but the sponsor deadline for the promo clip stayed on Thursday, so the check failed. The second option swapped the video with a blog post, kept the sponsor date and moved only 2 items. The conflict check passed, and the owner approved it Monday.
