AI agent for radiographers
Pre-Exam Safety Screening Agent
Every patient is safely screened before the exam
What it does
Before imaging, radiographers must confirm pregnancy status where relevant, contrast allergies, kidney function for contrast, and MRI safety where needed. Missing items cause delays or risk. This agent reads the next day's list and checks each patient's record for these items. It flags what is missing or out of range, such as an eGFR below the threshold for contrast. It drafts requests for missing labs or forms. On the morning of the exam it checks again. Items still unresolved go to the radiologist, who decides whether to proceed. Edge case: an implant with unknown MRI safety status blocks the MRI until the device is identified and confirmed safe, whatever the schedule pressure.
How it works
Follow the arrows from top to bottom. The orange dashed arrow is the loop: when a check fails, the agent goes back and tries again.
