AI agent for medical assistants
Appointment Preparation Coordination Agent
Every patient receives the correct, current preparation instructions.
What it does
Patients get inconsistent preparation instructions, such as fasting times or medication pauses, when appointment details change. When an appointment is booked or changed, this agent selects the clinician-approved template that matches the procedure and appointment details. If no template or more than one compatible template applies, it creates a review task for clinical staff instead of guessing. It then drafts personalized instructions with the right date, time and location. Staff approve sending, and the agent tracks delivery receipts. After any authorized change, it regenerates the instructions. It never edits the clinical content of templates. Edge case: a combined procedure triggers two templates with different fasting times, so a nurse decides.
How it works
Follow the arrows from top to bottom. The orange dashed arrow is the loop: when a check fails, the agent goes back and tries again.
