AI agent for financial advisors
Required Minimum Distribution Tracker Agent
Make sure each client takes the correct required distribution before year end.
What it does
Retirement account owners must take a minimum amount each year, and missing it brings a large penalty. This agent reads client birth dates, account types and prior year-end balances, and calculates the required amount for each account using the correct life expectancy table. It checks what has already been taken during the year, including distributions from other accounts that can be combined. It drafts instructions for the remaining amount and tracks whether the custodian processed them. Later in the year, it verifies completion and flags any shortfall while there is still time to act. Edge case: inherited accounts follow different rules, so it routes them for manual review. The advisor approves every request.
How it works
Follow the arrows from top to bottom. The orange dashed arrow is the loop: when a check fails, the agent goes back and tries again.
