Supplier Delivery Scorecard Agent

Supplier performance measured and improved

Supplier Delivery Scorecard Agent: what goes in, what the agent does and what you get

What it does

Supplier problems cause stockouts and force teams to carry extra safety stock, yet late or short deliveries are rarely measured. Each month this agent reads purchase orders, receipts and quality data. It first checks receipt dates, because late postings by the warehouse make suppliers look worse than they are, and fixes them. Deliveries delayed by the buyer's own changes are excluded. It builds a scorecard per supplier: on time means within the agreed window, and in full means within 2 percent of quantity. Suppliers below target for two months in a row get a drafted summary for a review call. Next month it checks whether results improved and escalates if not. The inventory manager approves anything sent to suppliers. Edge case: a split delivery agreed in advance counts as in full when all parts arrive on time.

How it works

Follow the arrows from top to bottom. The orange dashed arrow is the loop: when a check fails, the agent goes back and tries again.

An example run

What happensIn the June scorecard, one supplier showed 71 percent on time. The receipt date check failed: 12 receipts had been posted a day late by the warehouse. After correction the figure was 80 percent, still below the 95 percent target for the second month. The agent drafted a summary for a review call, and the manager approved it. July improved to 89 percent.
