AI agent for legal operations managers

Manager Decision Brief Agent

Decision briefs where options are comparable and assumptions visible.

Manager Decision Brief Agent: what goes in, what the agent does and what you get

What it does

Decision requests often reach managers with options that cannot be compared and with hidden assumptions. When a decision request arrives, this agent maps the criteria that matter for the choice. It checks the evidence for each option, starting with the facts that could change the outcome. It makes options comparable, for example by using the same cost period and timeline for each. Where data is missing, it states the gap rather than filling it. Unsupported assumptions are listed explicitly. It writes a decision brief and the manager decides. Edge case: one vendor quote is annual and another is monthly with a setup fee, so the agent normalizes both to three-year cost.

How it works

Follow the arrows from top to bottom. The orange dashed arrow is the loop: when a check fails, the agent goes back and tries again.

An example run

What happensA manager had to choose between two scheduling tools on July 9. The agent mapped five criteria. Option A's cost was annual while Option B's excluded setup fees, so the check failed. It normalized both to three-year cost: $41,000 against $46,500. B's security review was missing and stayed listed as a gap. The manager decided on July 11.
