AI agent for fleet managers

Telematics Driving Behavior Review Agent

Safer driving through targeted coaching

Telematics Driving Behavior Review Agent: what goes in, what the agent does and what you get

What it does

Telematics records harsh braking, speeding, harsh cornering and idling, but the alerts pile up unread and nothing changes. Each week this agent reads the events, filters out false alerts such as braking for a hazard, and scores each driver by events per 100 miles. It compares drivers only with others on similar routes and flags the top 10 percent. It drafts coaching notes for supervisors. The fleet manager approves any note shared with drivers, because decisions about people need a person. After coaching, it compares events again. If they did not drop, it looks closer at where and when they happen and suggests a different approach, such as a route change. Edge case: a new route with steep hills is compared within that route only, so its drivers are not unfairly flagged.

How it works

Follow the arrows from top to bottom. The orange dashed arrow is the loop: when a check fails, the agent goes back and tries again.

An example run

What happensIn March a driver had 14 harsh braking events per 100 miles, the highest on his route group. The fleet manager approved a coaching note. Three weeks later the rate was 11, so the improvement check failed against the target of 7. The agent looked closer and found 80 percent of events were on one narrow delivery street. It suggested a route change, which the manager approved.
