AI agent for fleet managers

Tire Management Agent

Replace tires at the right time and fix the causes of uneven wear.

Tire Management Agent: what goes in, what the agent does and what you get

What it does

Tires are one of the biggest fleet costs, and they fail from wear that nobody has added up. This agent reads tread depth, pressure and mileage records for each vehicle and position. It predicts when each tire will reach its replacement limit. It compares wear across positions, since uneven wear across an axle often points to an alignment or suspension problem rather than a bad tire. It schedules service and drafts tire orders to fit the replacement dates. After service it compares the next readings to see if the wear pattern improved. The manager approves the orders. Edge case: one tire wearing twice as fast as the other on the same axle triggers an alignment check instead of an early replacement.

How it works

Follow the arrows from top to bottom. The orange dashed arrow is the loop: when a check fails, the agent goes back and tries again.

Read the steps as a list
  1. New tire readings added
  2. Read tread, pressure and mileage for each vehicle
  3. Predict the replacement date for each tire

  5. Flag alignment or suspension checks
  6. Schedule service and align with other maintenance
  7. Draft the tire order for the replacements due
  8. Manager approves ordersThe agent waits here for your OK.
  9. Read the next readings after service

How it decides

It replaces on tread limit or age, and flags uneven wear when positions on one axle differ by a set amount.

  • Replace at 4 mm tread or at the age limit
  • Flag when axle wear differs by more than 2 mm
  • Flag low pressure readings below the set level
  • Group replacements to reduce downtime

Make it yours

Every agent is a starting point. You choose these settings for your own situation.

  • Replacement tread depth (default 4 mm)
  • Uneven wear limit (default 2 mm)
  • Tire age limit
  • Preferred supplier

What keeps you in control

It always asks you first

  • Manager approves orders and service jobs

Hard limits

  • Never keep a vehicle on the road with a tire below the legal limit
  • Never order without approval

It stops when

  • Done: replacements are scheduled and wear is stable
  • Stop: a safety defect is found and the vehicle is held

An example run

What happensTruck 18 shows 7 mm on the left drive tire and 3.8 mm on the right. The gap is above the 2 mm limit. The agent flags an alignment check, and the shop finds a bent tie rod. After repair, the next reading shows both tires wearing evenly. The agent updates the replacement date and drafts an order for the right tire.
