AI agent for innovation strategists
University and Research Partnership Scouting Agent
Deliver a ranked list of research groups worth a first conversation
What it does
A strategist needs a lab working on solid-state batteries and has weeks of reading ahead. This agent takes a technology theme and searches publications, grants and lab pages. It builds a list of groups and scores each on relevance, recent output and past work with industry. It checks for conflicts, such as a lab funded by a competitor or an existing contract that overlaps. It drafts a ranked list with contacts, key papers and a short reason for each rank. If results are weak or too broad, it refines the search with new terms and runs again. The lead approves any contact. Edge case: a professor with a famous paper but no activity in four years is ranked low.
How it works
Follow the arrows from top to bottom. The orange dashed arrow is the loop: when a check fails, the agent goes back and tries again.

What keeps you in control

- Do not share confidential plans in searches
It stops when
- Done: Ranked list delivered and approved
- Stop: No relevant groups found after three search rounds, so hand to the lead
