W3Ship is a helper that gives your AI assistant the ability to shop, order, and book things for you. Instead of usernames and passwords, it uses your crypto wallet address as your identity. It is handy if you already use a wallet and want your AI to handle carts, orders, bookings, and even small marketplace listings.
What is an MCP server? The 30-second version
On its own, your AI can only chat. An MCP server is a small helper program that gives your AI a new skill or a connection to a service. This one connects your AI to W3Ship, a commerce service, so it can create carts, place orders, track shipments, book sessions, and look up shipping addresses for you. What this MCP server does

The AI calls this W3Ship helper, which talks to a small local storage (a Redis or Valkey database) for carts, orders, and shipments, and to the W3Ship website for bookings and identity lookups. - A Redis or Valkey database running somewhere (you can start one with Docker)
- Optional: a wallet address or public key to use as your identity
- Optional: a free Uniswap API key if you want swap quotes
Good to know
This server can create orders, claim promos, and list items for sale, and some actions like Uniswap swaps involve real money, so check what the AI is about to do before you confirm.
