CUQU MCP server
by cuqu-net
Let your AI find and book local hobby activities in China, like board games, hiking, or badminton.
This is a helper that connects your AI to CUQU, a Chinese platform for local offline group activities. You can ask your AI to look up things like board game nights, hiking trips, or badminton games in a city, and it can even help you book a spot. It is handy if you live in or travel to cities in China and want to join fun things with other people.
What is an MCP server? The 30-second version
On its own, your AI can only chat with you using what it already knows. An MCP server is a small helper program that gives your AI a new skill or a connection to an app or service. This one connects your AI to CUQU, a platform for local offline activities in China. Once it is connected, your AI can look up real activities and, if you set it up with a key, help you book them.
What this MCP server does
You ask your AI something like find board game meetups in Shenzhen this weekend. The AI uses this helper to search CUQU's live activity list. The helper talks to CUQU's public data and brings back matching activities with details like time, place, and price. If you have a user key set up, the AI can also help you register for an event or create a payment. You get the results right in your chat, like a short list or a detail card.
What you can do with it
- Search live activities by type, city, or date
- Get full details for one activity, like time, venue, price, and organizer
- Look up partner venues with capacity and per-head price
- Get a share link or WeChat mini-program path for an activity
- Publish a new event as an organizer (needs a key)
- Register yourself for an activity (needs a key)
- Create a WeChat Pay order for a booking (needs a key)
Try asking your AI
- “Find frisbee games in Shenzhen this Saturday”
- “Show me details for that hiking activity”
- “What venues are available for board games in Hong Kong?”
- “Sign me up for the badminton event on Friday”
What it gives back to you
You get back a list of activities that match what you asked, with key details like time, place, and price. For a single activity, you get a fuller card with venue, booking progress, organizer, and cover image. If you use the write tools, you get a confirmation that your booking or payment was created. Everything shows up in your chat as text you can read.
Before you start
What you need
- A CUQU account if you want to book or create events
- A CUQU API key starting with cq-sk- (you get it by scanning a code, see their llms.txt page)
- Python 3.9 or newer if you run it yourself
- Or Docker if you prefer that
Good to know
The write tools can book you into events and create payments, so only use them when you are sure, and keep your CUQU API key private.
Install it with your AI

Sign in to get the install prompt
Members get a ready-made prompt that lets the Claude desktop app check CUQU MCP server, install it and connect it for them, step by step. You don't need any technical skills: you copy, paste and answer a few questions. Your connected AI can also find and install any of the 4,609 MCP servers here for you.
