Romanian Company Data MCP server
Look up Romanian firms, VAT status, contacts and 18 years of financial statements right from your AI chat.
This is a helper that connects your AI to Romania's official company registry. You ask a question in plain words, and your AI looks it up in ONRC, ANAF and Ministry of Finance records. It is handy if you work in sales, recruiting, buying, accounting or due diligence and need facts about Romanian firms quickly.
What is an MCP server? The 30-second version
On its own, your AI can only chat with you. An MCP server is a small helper program that gives your AI a new skill or a connection to an app or service. This one connects your AI to official Romanian company data. So when you ask about a firm, your AI can look it up there and answer with real records instead of guessing.
What this MCP server does
You type a question like a company name, tax code (CUI), domain or director name. Your AI sends that to this MCP server, which talks to the Leadgen service and its databases. The service searches the official registry, the tax records and the annual financial statements. Then it gives the answer back to your AI, which shows it to you in the chat. Every answer carries a date telling you how fresh the data is, so you can cite it.
What you can do with it
- Look up a Romanian company by name, CUI or website domain
- Find companies by what they do using CAEN activity codes or plain topic words
- Match a list of leads to Romanian firms and see how confident each match is
- Crawl a company website to pull out emails, phone numbers and social profiles
- Read annual revenue, profit, headcount and ratios going back to 2008
- Get a 0 to 100 health score with red flags and peer benchmarks
- Watch a firm or a CAEN code for changes and collect what turned up
Try asking your AI
- “Find the Romanian company behind dedeman.ro”
- “Pull the last five years of revenue and profit for CUI 12345678”
- “List software companies registered in Cluj county”
- “What emails and phone numbers are on the contact page of this firm's website”
What it gives back to you
You get back a written answer in the chat with the company record, numbers, dates and links where relevant. Financial lookups come as year-by-year figures with ratios and a short summary. Contact lookups list emails, phones and social profiles. Lists of firms come as a table of matches, each labelled with how confident the match is.
Before you start
What you need
- An AI tool that can use MCP servers, like Claude, Claude Desktop, Cursor or VS Code
- A free key from leadgen.adrianhomelab.com/start if you want 25 lookups a day instead of 5
- An internet connection
Good to know
You only get a small number of free lookups per day, and watching firms needs a key, so plan what you ask before you send a big list.
