FPL Intelligence MCP server
by dohyung1
Ask your AI for Fantasy Premier League captain picks, transfers, and league advice using live FPL data.

This is a small helper that connects your AI assistant to live Fantasy Premier League data. Once it is set up, you can ask plain questions about your team and get real answers based on this season's numbers. It is handy for anyone who plays FPL and wants a second opinion before the deadline.
What is an MCP server? The 30-second version
On its own, your AI can only chat with you from what it already knows. An MCP server is a small helper program that gives your AI a new skill or a connection to an app or service. This one connects your AI to Fantasy Premier League, so it can look up players, prices, fixtures, and your own squad for you. You just ask in normal words, and the helper fetches the live data behind the scenes.
What this MCP server does
You ask your AI a question about your FPL team, like who to captain or who to sell. The AI passes that request to this helper, which runs on your own computer. The helper then talks to the official Fantasy Premier League website data and pulls back the current numbers. It works out the answer, such as a shortlist of captain picks or transfer ideas, and shows it to you in the chat. Everything happens in seconds, and nothing is sent anywhere except the FPL website itself.
Click to zoomWhat you can do with it
- Get captain suggestions ranked by form, expected goals, and fixtures
- See who to bring in and who to sell based on your squad and budget
- Compare two to four players side by side across every stat
- Find low-ownership players who are quietly scoring well
- Check which teams have easy or hard fixtures coming up
- See which players are likely to rise or fall in price tonight
- Look at your mini-league rivals and where they are weak
Try asking your AI
- “Analyze my FPL team 5456980 and tell me who to captain this week”
- “I have 2 free transfers and 1.5m in the bank. Who should I bring in?”
- “Salah vs Palmer vs Saka, who is the best pick for the next 5 gameweeks?”
- “Show me everything about mini-league 1189955 and who is going to win”
What it gives back to you
You get answers written in plain language in the chat, often with short lists or tables. For example, a captain question comes back as a ranked list of five players with reasons. A league question comes back as win chances and notes on each rival. It also tells you things like your bank balance, free transfers, and chips, which it reads from your team ID automatically.
Before you start
What you need
- Python 3.12 or newer installed on your computer
- The Claude desktop app
- Your FPL team ID (a number from the FPL website URL, not your username)
Good to know
It only reads public FPL data and does not change your team, but its advice is a prediction and can be wrong, so use your own judgement before the deadline.
