Bosch eBike Flow MCP server

by partymola

Lets your AI read your Bosch eBike data: battery health, firmware, and ride stats.

Flow diagram: you ask your AI “How is my bike battery doing this year?”, the Bosch eBike Flow MCP server connects it to Bosch eBike Flow, and you get back A plain answer in your chat.

This is a small helper that connects your AI assistant to your own Bosch eBike Flow account. Once it is set up, you can just ask questions in plain words about your bike and your rides, and your AI will look up the answers for you. It is handy if you ride a Bosch Smart System eBike and want to keep an eye on your battery and your trips.

What is an MCP server? The 30-second version

On its own, your AI can only chat. It does not know anything about your bike or your rides. An MCP server is a small helper program that gives your AI a new skill or a connection to an app or service. This one connects your AI to your Bosch eBike Flow account, so when you ask about your battery or a ride, the AI can go and read that data for you.

What this MCP server does

You ask your AI a question, like how your battery is doing this year. The AI passes that request to this helper program. The helper signs in to your own Bosch eBike Flow account and reads your data, such as battery snapshots, components, firmware versions, and per-ride activity. It then hands the results back to the AI, which turns them into a plain answer in your chat. It only reads. It never changes your bike, your battery, or your account.

What you can do with it

  • Check your battery health and charge cycles over time
  • See which firmware version your drive unit or battery is on
  • List your registered bikes and their components
  • Look up your live charge level from the ConnectModule
  • Review your rides by distance, elevation, power, and assist mode
  • See per-ride details like speed, cadence, and calories
  • Look at service records and software update history (EU accounts only)

Try asking your AI

  • “What's my bike's battery health this year?”
  • “Show me charge cycle trends by month”
  • “What firmware version is my drive unit on?”
  • “How far and how hard were my rides this week?”

What it gives back to you

You get answers in your chat, in plain words. Depending on what you ask, that could be a list of bikes, a summary of your battery health, a table of charge cycles by month, or a breakdown of one ride with distance, elevation, and power. For a single ride, it can also give you the point-by-point track with GPS, speed, elevation, cadence, and power. It does not change anything, so you only ever see information.

Before you start

What you need

  • A Bosch eBike Flow account (free, made in the Bosch eBike Flow app)
  • A Bosch Smart System eBike registered in that app
  • Python 3.13 or newer on your computer
  • uv or pip to install the helper

Good to know

This is an unofficial project that signs in with your own Bosch account and reads your data, so keep your sign-in tokens private; it may also stop working if Bosch changes their systems.
