Travel Agent MCP server
Lets your AI plan trips, check airports, convert currency, and run cheap disruption checks before you travel.

This is a travel helper for your AI assistant. Once it is connected, you can ask your AI about airports, timing, day trips, weekends, or whether something might disrupt your trip, and it will look those things up for you. It is handy for anyone who plans trips and wants quick, practical answers in the same chat where they already talk to their AI.
What is an MCP server? The 30-second version
On its own, your AI can only chat with you using what it already knows. An MCP server is a small helper program that gives your AI a new skill or a connection to an outside service. This one connects your AI to a travel service called ForgeMesh, so it can look up airports, plan day trips, convert currency, and check for travel disruptions. You just ask in plain words, and the AI uses this helper behind the scenes to get you an answer.
What this MCP server does
You ask your AI something like whether a weekend trip makes sense or which airport to fly into. The AI sends that request to this travel helper, which talks to the ForgeMesh travel service. The service puts together a trip-shaped answer, like a plan, a comparison, or a short disruption note. Your AI then shows you that answer right in the chat. Some parts are free, and a few deeper planning calls cost a tiny amount of money per use.
Click to zoomWhat you can do with it
- Look up airport details by airport code
- Compare different airport routes for a trip
- Get advice on when to book and how early to arrive
- Convert currency for rough spending estimates
- Plan a day trip or a weekend getaway
- Check for travel disruptions before or during a trip
- Request coverage for a town or local experience
Try asking your AI
- “What should I know before flying to Lisbon next week?”
- “Compare flying into JFK versus Newark for a trip to Manhattan.”
- “Plan a relaxed day trip from Rome with food and walking.”
- “Convert 200 euros to US dollars for my trip budget.”
What it gives back to you
You get back plain answers in the chat: lists of options, short plans, airport comparisons, timing tips, currency numbers, or a brief disruption note. Some paid planning calls return a trip-shaped brief with suggestions and tradeoffs. You may also see booking links, and commission-eligible links are disclosed in the output.
Before you start
What you need
- The Claude desktop app or another MCP-capable AI app
- Node.js installed on your computer (the installer will tell you if it is missing)
- A way to pay with x402 for the paid planning calls (the free calls work without it)
Good to know
The paid planning calls cost a small amount of money per use, and the disruption checks are informational only, so always verify safety decisions with official sources and local emergency services.
