This is a small helper that lets your AI assistant look up live seasonal travel data for Japan. It covers cherry blossoms, autumn leaves, flowers, festivals, fruit picking and weather. It is handy if you are planning a trip to Japan and want real dates instead of a guess.

What is an MCP server? The 30-second version

On its own, your AI can only chat with you using what it already learned. An MCP server is a small helper program that gives your AI a new skill or a connection to a service. This one connects your AI to live Japan seasonal data from the Japan Meteorological Corporation and other sources. Once it is connected, your AI can look up real bloom dates and spots for you when you ask.

What this MCP server does

You ask your AI a normal question, like when to see cherry blossoms in Japan. Your AI passes that question to this helper. The helper fetches live forecast data and lists of spots, farms and events, then sends the results back. Your AI turns that into a plain answer with dates, place names and weather notes. You can then ask follow-up questions and drill into specific parks or farms.

What you can do with it

  • Find cities where cherry blossoms are in bloom during your travel dates
  • Get a list of specific parks and temples with current bloom status
  • Check autumn leaves timing for maple and ginkgo by city
  • Look up flower spots in season, like wisteria, hydrangea or lavender
  • Find fireworks festivals and summer matsuri by month and area
  • Search fruit picking farms near a city for a given month
  • Check the 3-day weather forecast for a Japanese city

Try asking your AI

  • “I'm in Japan April 8 to 14. Where should I go for cherry blossoms?”
  • “Top autumn leaves spots in Kyoto in late November”
  • “What flowers are in season in Japan in June?”
  • “Fruit picking near Tokyo in May”

What it gives back to you

You get back a written answer in the chat, with dates, city names and spot names. It often includes bloom percentages, how each date compares to the usual average, and short weather notes. Some answers also include map links or booking links for farms and events. You can keep asking follow-up questions to narrow things down.
