Crypto Portfolio MCP server
by kukapay
Let your AI track your crypto holdings, check Binance prices, and chart your portfolio value.

This is a small helper that connects your AI assistant to a simple crypto portfolio tracker. You tell the AI what coins you hold, and it remembers them, checks live Binance prices, and can draw a chart of how your portfolio value changed over time. It is handy if you hold a few coins and want quick answers without opening a spreadsheet or an exchange app.
What is an MCP server? The 30-second version
On its own, your AI can only chat with you. An MCP server is a small helper program that gives your AI a new skill or a connection to an app or service. This one connects your AI to a crypto portfolio tracker that uses Binance prices, so the AI can look up prices, remember your holdings, and do small calculations for you. You just ask in normal words, and the AI uses this helper behind the scenes.
What this MCP server does
You ask your AI something like what is my portfolio worth, or add 0.1 BTC. The AI passes that request to this helper program running on your computer. The helper saves your holdings in a small local database file and asks Binance for current prices. Then it sends the answer back, and your AI shows it to you as a summary, a number, or a chart image in the chat.
Click to zoomWhat you can do with it
- Add a cryptocurrency holding to your portfolio
- Get a text summary of everything you hold and its total value
- Check the current Binance price of a trading pair like BTC/USDT
- Generate a PNG chart of your portfolio value over time
- Ask for an analysis of your holdings with diversification and risk notes
Try asking your AI
- “Add 0.1 BTC to my portfolio”
- “What's the current price of ETH on Binance?”
- “What's my current portfolio summary?”
- “Show me my portfolio value history”
- “Analyze my crypto portfolio”
What it gives back to you
You get answers right in the chat: a formatted list of your holdings with prices and a total value, a single price for a coin, or a short analysis with suggestions. For the history request, it produces a PNG chart image of your portfolio value over time. When you add a holding, it simply confirms what was added.
Before you start

Good to know
Your holdings are saved in a local database file on your computer, and prices come from Binance, so the numbers are only as good as that live data.
