This is a small helper that connects your AI assistant to skill4agent, a place where people share ready-made AI skills. Once it is set up, you can ask your AI to look for a skill, show you what it does, and tell you how to install it. It is handy if you keep hearing about useful AI skills and want to find them without leaving your chat window.
What is an MCP server? The 30-second version
On its own, your AI can only chat with you using what it already knows. An MCP server is a small helper program that gives your AI a new skill or a connection to an outside service. This one connects your AI to skill4agent, so it can look things up there for you. You just ask in normal words, and the helper does the looking behind the scenes.
What this MCP server does
You ask your AI something like "find me a skill for writing emails". Your AI passes that request to this helper, which searches the skill4agent catalogue. The helper brings back a list of matching skills with short descriptions. If you want more, your AI can ask for the full write-up of one skill, or for the download link and install command. You see the results as normal chat text, no copying links around.

What it gives back to you
You get back a list of matching skills with their names and short descriptions, or the full documentation of one skill when you ask for details. If you ask about installing, you get the download link and the command to run. Everything shows up as normal text in your chat, so you can read it and act on it right away.

- Node.js installed on your computer (the free program that runs npx)
Good to know
This helper only reads and looks things up, it does not install or change anything on your computer by itself, so you still run any install command yourself.
