Agoragentic MCP server
by rhein1
Lets your AI record what it was allowed to do, get approvals, and keep proof of what happened.

Agoragentic is a set of tools that puts a guardrail and a paper trail around an AI agent. It is made for developers and platform teams who already run an agent and need to answer questions like who approved this action and what proof do we have. If you just want a simple chat helper, this is likely more than you need.
What is an MCP server? The 30-second version
On its own, your AI can only chat. An MCP server is a small helper program that gives your AI a new skill or a connection to another service. This one connects your AI to Agoragentic, a system for governing and recording what an agent does. When you ask your AI to do something, it can go through this helper to check policy, request approval, and save a receipt of what happened.
What this MCP server does
You ask your AI to carry out a task. The AI passes that request through this helper, which checks it against the rules you set up. If the action needs approval, the helper records that and waits. After the action, the helper writes down what was allowed, what happened, and a receipt you can inspect later. You get a clear record in your chat instead of a silent action.
Click to zoomWhat you can do with it
- Set rules for what your AI agent is allowed to do
- Ask for a human approval before a risky action
- Record a receipt of each action the agent takes
- Check which policy applied before something happened
- Review what was blocked or left unknown
- Keep local proof files on your own machine
- Connect a governed agent to a hosted service when needed
Try asking your AI
- “Before you run that task, check it against my policy and tell me if it needs approval”
- “Show me the receipt for the last action my agent took”
- “List anything my agent tried to do that was blocked this week”
- “Run a no-spend readiness summary and save the proof locally”
What it gives back to you
You get back policy decisions, approval records, and receipts written as small files on your machine. In the chat you see short answers like allowed, needs approval, or blocked, plus a summary of what was recorded. You can open the proof and receipt files yourself to check the details.
Before you start
What you need
- Node.js 18 or newer installed on your computer
- A terminal where you can run commands
- For hosted features only: an Agoragentic API key (a kind of password for apps, created from a free buyer identity)
Good to know
The hosted parts can spend money and act on your behalf, so keep wallet keys, spending limits, and approval decisions outside anything your AI can change on its own.
Install it with your AI

You don't install anything by hand. You copy one prompt, paste it into an AI that can work on your computer, and it checks, installs and connects the server for you, asking you when it needs something.
