AllTrails MCP server (archived)
by srinath1510
An archived helper that once let your AI search AllTrails hiking trails. It no longer works.

This was a small helper that let your AI look up hiking trails on AllTrails. It has been shut down and no longer works. We are keeping this page so you know what happened and what to use instead.
What is an MCP server? The 30-second version
On its own, your AI can only chat with you. An MCP server is a small helper program that gives your AI a new skill or a connection to an app or website. This one was meant to connect your AI to AllTrails, so it could look up trails for you when you asked. But AllTrails asked for it to be turned off, so the connection is gone.
What this MCP server does
In the past, you would ask your AI something like find trails in Yosemite. The AI would pass that request to this helper. The helper would read pages on the AllTrails website and send back trail names, difficulty, length and elevation. That reading was done without AllTrails' permission, which broke their rules. The project is now archived and the code does not work.
Click to zoomWhat it gives back to you
Nothing. The server is disabled and returns no trail information. If you try to use it, you will get errors or no answer at all.
Before you start
Good to know
This project was shut down because it read AllTrails' website without permission, which broke their terms of service. Do not try to use, copy or rebuild it.
