India's health system launches AI training programs for leaders and clinicians
The Academy of Digital Health Sciences announced the 'AI for All' Mission, a program to expand artificial intelligence use across healthcare systems. The initiative was launched by Jitendra Singh, Union Minister in the Prime Minister's Office.
The mission connects to a 2022 vision to achieve digital health access for all by 2028, marking the 50th anniversary of the Alma-Ata Declaration on Primary Health Care.
Two new certification programs
ADHS is rolling out two educational offerings. The first, the Certified Digital Health Officer (CDHO) programme, targets healthcare professionals, administrators, and policy leaders. It's jointly offered by the Indian Institute of Management Raipur and ADHS, with participants receiving IIM Executive Alumni status.
The second is a post-graduate course in Digital Health and Public Health, certified by ADHS, IIM Raipur, and PHFI Institute of Public Health Sciences. The curriculum covers epidemiology, health informatics, AI-driven surveillance, digital therapeutics, and public health strategy.
The post-graduate program uses blended learning with campus immersion at partner institutions and ADHS's Global Digital Health Summit.
Who this targets
The CDHO program is designed for C-suite healthcare leaders, government officials, founders, and policy professionals who need to lead digital transformation at scale.
The post-graduate course suits professionals managing both digital health and public health responsibilities, particularly those working in epidemiology or health systems.
What's included
- Triple certification from IIM Raipur, ADHS, and PHFI University
- Blended learning format with in-person immersion
- Content covering AI applications in healthcare and public health surveillance
- Executive alumni status for CDHO participants
Rajendra Pratap Gupta, Founder and Chairman of ADHS, said the mission aims to make AI accessible to healthcare workers across income levels. "AI is not a luxury for the few, it must be a right for all," he said.
