Adtran wins two FTTH Innovation Awards for AI-driven network operations and home Wi-Fi

Adtran received two awards at the FTTH Innovation Awards 2026 for technologies that help fiber service providers manage networks and deliver consistent Wi-Fi performance. The company won in the categories for active infrastructure in home networks and AI-driven software solutions.

The awards recognize Mosaic One Clarity, an operations platform that analyzes network and subscriber data to identify root causes of problems, and the SDG 8000 and 9000 Series mesh Wi-Fi gateways. FTTH Council Europe organizes the annual awards to honor technologies that improve fiber deployment, operational efficiency and user experience.

What Mosaic One Clarity does

Mosaic One Clarity helps operations teams prioritize issues across multi-vendor networks and take guided action. The platform unifies data from access networks and home systems, then surfaces the problems that matter most to operators.

Christoph Glingener, CTO of Adtran, said the platform addresses a core challenge as fiber networks grow: "With Mosaic One Clarity, we're applying explainable intelligence to help operators turn growing volumes of network data into action." He added that visibility alone isn't enough - teams need to understand root causes and know what to do next.

The platform embeds decision support directly into operational workflows so teams can act faster and with more confidence. This matters as service providers expand their networks and need to scale expertise across more complex environments.

Wi-Fi gateways for diverse deployments

The SDG 8000 and 9000 Series gateways deliver multigigabit Wi-Fi across single-family homes, apartment buildings and shared spaces. Both models run on a common software foundation called SmartOS and connect to Adtran's Intellifi management system.

Robert Conger, GM of strategy and solutions at Adtran, said expectations for Wi-Fi have shifted. "Service providers must now ensure consistent, seamless performance across the entire property," he said. Simply offering fast speeds no longer meets customer needs.

The gateways combine high throughput with cloud visibility, giving providers a repeatable way to deliver consistent performance and reduce operational friction across different property types.
